KARACHI: The Germa
n Peace Prize is the most acclaimed prize at the Karachi Literary Festival (KLF). The Germa
n Peace Prize is a celebrated tradition in KLF and has been widely appreciated by the civil society, intelligentsia, media and literature loving citizens of Karachi.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Germa
n Peace Prize will be awarded to the top t
hree selected books at the festival, where 25 entries have been shortlisted.
The prize winners wer
e selected through a transparent process by an independent jury comprising prominent Pakistani
academics and human rights activists. The prize money
is 3000, 1000 and 500 Euros for first, second and third prize respectively. The award ceremony will be held on 11th February, 2017.
